Full-Stack Node.js Developer
We’re looking for a Kuala Lumpur-based Full-Stack Node.js Developer to build across our stack. Amast builds AI-powered software that runs the operations businesses depend on — from field sales to analytics to maintenance — and you’ll work end to end: the APIs and services underneath, and the interfaces on top. You’ll ship real features that businesses rely on.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Build features end to end — Node.js services and APIs on the back, React interfaces on the front.
- Design reliable, well-structured backend services, APIs, and data models.
- Integrate databases, third-party services, and AI capabilities into clean, dependable systems.
- Own performance, security, and reliability across the stack.
- Write tested, maintainable code, review others’ with care, and take features from idea to production with product and design.
Requirements
- 3+ years building full-stack applications with Node.js and a modern front-end (React preferred)
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, and solid backend fundamentals (REST APIs, auth, error handling)
- Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and designing sensible data models
- Comfort across the stack — you can build a service and the interface that uses it
- A grasp of testing, security, performance, and deployment
- Experience with cloud (AWS/GCP), message queues, or integrating AI/LLM APIs is a plus
