Senior React Native Developer
We’re looking for a Kuala Lumpur-based Senior React Native Developer to build the mobile apps that put Amast in the field. Amast builds AI-powered software that runs the operations businesses depend on — and for a product like Flow, our field-sales platform, the phone in a rep’s hand is where the work actually happens. You’ll own the mobile experience end to end: fast, reliable, offline-capable apps people use every day.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Build and ship cross-platform mobile apps in React Native (iOS and Android) — from architecture to app-store release.
- Own performance and reliability: smooth lists, fast startup, and offline-first sync for reps working with patchy signal.
- Integrate with our APIs and native modules (camera, location, push, storage) to build features that hold up in the real world.
- Write clean, testable, well-structured code, and help set the standards the rest of the mobile team builds on.
- Work with product and design to turn requirements into intuitive, polished mobile experiences.
- Debug the hard problems across devices, OS versions, and networks, and keep our app-store presence healthy.
Requirements
- 5+ years building software, with 3+ years shipping production React Native apps to the App Store and Play Store
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, and a real grasp of React and React Native internals (Hermes, navigation, state management)
- Experience with offline-first data, local storage, and background sync
- Comfort with native modules and platform APIs (camera, geolocation, push) on both iOS and Android
- A track record of owning performance, testing, and CI/CD for mobile
- Strong communication, and the ability to mentor and set technical direction
- Experience with native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift), or building for field/enterprise use cases, is a plus
