Software Engineering Intern
We’re looking for a Kuala Lumpur-based Software Engineering Intern to build real features alongside our team. Amast builds AI-powered software that runs the operations businesses depend on — from field sales to analytics to maintenance — and as an intern here you won’t be fetching coffee or writing throwaway code. You’ll ship work that customers actually use, with real mentorship and real ownership.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Work alongside our engineers to build and ship real features across our product suite.
- Write, test, and review code in a modern stack, and watch your work go live.
- Learn how production software actually gets built — version control, code review, testing, and deployment.
- Get hands-on with the AI tools we build and work with.
- Take on a meaningful project of your own, with the support to see it through.
Requirements
- Currently studying computer science, software engineering, or a related field — or a recent grad or bootcamp finisher
- A working grasp of at least one modern language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar)
- Some hands-on coding to show — personal projects, coursework, or a portfolio
- Curiosity, initiative, and the drive to figure things out
- Available for a full-time internship based in Kuala Lumpur
- Experience with React, React Native, a backend framework, or AI tools is a plus
